 Reading and Reflection

As a part of B.Ed curriculum I took a books named 'How Pintu Found Pi' written by Sarat Talluri Rao and 'Happy Maths Measurement' written by Mala Kumar. Then I made a relection of those book by myself.

Onam

 ONAM

Onam is an annual harvest festival celebrated in the Indian state of Kerala. A major annual event for Keralites, it is the official festival of the state and includes a spectrum of cultural events. Drawing from Hindu mythology, Onam commemorates King Mahabali.

One of the main attractions of Onam festival is 'Onam Pookkalam'. The celebration of the Onam festival goes for 10 days long, where people make 'flower rangoli' known as Pookalam in their courtyards.

Pookkalam designs will be perfect only with the help of perfect measurement. So in every aspects of the life situations we can able to see the contributions of Mathematics.
